December Headlines

In class, we have discussed committing ourselves and exploring methods for academic achievement. The Honor Roll is attainable with hard work and determination.

It's hard to believe, but the academic school year is flying by.  Recently, you received your student's Progress Report for the midterm of the second quarter.  As you know, December allows us only 15 class sessions.

At Zion, we are blessed with the most supportive parents, ever. Each of my 6th graders were fully supported in class by their families as they presented their Geography Projects last month.  Thank you all so much for your attendance. The treat was that 6th graders were allowed to leave school early following their presentations.

Again, I must thank our parents for a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration.  Our classroom parent and her crew did a fantastic job.  We were treated like royalty.

Our Christmas party and Christmas program will be on December 19, 2025.  If your child will not be in attendance for the ZTCA Christmas Program that evening at 6:30 p.m. please let me know as soon as possible.  Our class will be dressed appropriately in all black.

During the month of January we will all read Blended by Sharon Draper.  It is imperative to have your copy by January 6, 2026.  Check your local public library, and it is also available on Amazon.

The assignment for the Research Paper is quickly approaching for 5th and 6th grade.  This is a 6-week process.  More information will be forthcoming as we get closer to the start date.  Procrastination is not an option with this assignment.

As of this time, we have had our first Teacher of the Day.  In complete control, she did an outstanding job!
