3rd Grade

Greetings, Dear 3rd Grade Parents, 

     We are excited about the start of the New Year 2024!!  I pray all of you had a wonderful time of Rest, Relaxation and Recharge to begin this year.  

      In the 3rd quarter we will be challenged with mathematical equations, converting measures, Roman numerals, fractions, multiplication and division.  Our Language skills will include parts of speech, diagramming sentences, proper word usage and writing skills.  Reading Comprehension will include moral of stories, their setting, simile, etc.   History is loaded with names, dates and events.  In Geography, we are continuing to learn our 50 states on the map.   Science has taken us through plants, animals, and habitats.  Our students will begin working a detailed project “ My Animal Notebook”.  We will send a note with details on this project including deadlines and grading.  Please keep checking their backpacks for notices and graded papers.  Homework is not always written.  Good study habits are important for their success. Have snacks, they will come!
